The 22-24 Miami Heat need a shakeup in their roster, could the infamous Carmelo Anthony be the answer? We’ve decided to go through the pros and cons of putting Melo in a Heat jersey.

Carmelo Anthony was traded to the Chicago Bulls this week and could possibly be on the Miami Heat’s radar.

The Bulls will be the third team he has had a jersey created for in three seasons (wait, do we count his very brief stay in Atlanta? If so, that four teams). Melo will not play a single minute for the Bulls. He will be waived by Chicago and become a free agent.

The Houston Rockets wanted to rid themselves of Anthony since he didn’t fit with the offense and his defense is apparently nowhere to be found. The deal also saved the Rockets $6.2 million in salary and tax and opens a roster spot. They ended up filling that spot by signing Kenneth Faried after he was bought out by the Brooklyn Nets.

Which leaves a lot of questions surrounding Carmelo.

What happens with Anthony? Will he resume his playing career or is this the end? Is there any team that he would fit in with? Would the Miami Heat have any interest in acquiring Anthony? While Miami would love the chance to add someone who could score, how would he fit?

The Heat have an incomplete team with so many guards and with the tradeline in two weeks, and Miami will look to be making some moves to try to improve the roster. Yes, Dwyane Wade and Anthony are very good friends but would that be good enough to bring him along? Maybe yes, maybe no.

We have the pros and cons of putting Melo in a Heat jersey coming up.
