Heat made “Godfather offer” for Kawhi: The Toronto Raptors made the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history in Kawhi Leonard’s first season. Leonard is a game-changing player, one whom was highly sought after by every team in the league when he was on his way out of San Antonio. Kenneth Wilson takes us through the Heat’s attempt to trade for him last summer.
Will the Heat feature zone defense more next season? The Miami Heat led the pack by far in zone defense possessions last season, and they were near the top of the charts in efficiency as well. 3 candidates fans want to see on the Heat coaching staff: With former assistant coach Juwan Howard departing the Miami Heat bench to be the head coach at his alma mater, the University of Michigan, Kenneth Wilson took a look at some fan favorites who could take over Howard’s now vacant role.
Heat must prioritize pick-and-roll ball handler in free agency: The Miami Heat had the league’s worst ball-handling scorers out of the pick-and-roll last season, and with no Dwyane Wade next season and likely more Justise Winslow, that’s probably going to get a lot worse if they don’t address it in free agency.
Robinson, Maten and Nunn’s seasons review and graded: The lower levels of the rotation gets their opportunities to have both their NBA and G League seasons graded and reviewed, and our Tristan Tucker breaks down Duncan Robinson, Yante Maten and Kendrick Nunn’s seasons.
