The Miami Heat took a thumping Saturday night in Philly at the hands of the 76ers. They should be chomping at the bit to hit the court in Monday’s matchup.
The Miami Heat need this game on their home floor against a subpar and very beatable opponent like the Charlotte Hornets like fire needs oxygen. After being smothered on Saturday by the Philadelphia 76ers from what seemed like the opening tip, this Miami Heat team needs to turn it around quickly, redirecting back into the path of their winning ways.
Not only is that important for the simple fact that this team appears as though they are capable of actually making noise as we move through the remainder of the season and the postseason barring injury, but it is also important for morale purposes.
After being defeated in such a manner and to a contending competitor and rival, it may cause some negative to creep in. We should all trust that Coach Spo has that under control and that this game against Charlotte will be just what’s needed to get back in the groove.
According to injury reports, Justise Winslow will be out again on Monday. He will be joined by Derrick Jones Jr. and KZ Okpala.
Everyone else should be ready to go. Here is everything else you might need to know about the game.
