Miami Heat stud rookie Tyler Herro went viral recently with his new hairstyle. Just a few short days later, the sharpshooter is unbraided and unbothered.

The worlds of Miami Heat fans, NBA fans, sports fans, social media fans, and just fans of pop culture were shaken up a few days back by seismic movement in the Twittersphere.

The Miami Heat rookie sharpshooting Tyler Herro had just gotten his hair cut and was captured sporting his new do by his barber. As we documented here for you, it wasn’t a bad upgrade to his “drip”.

That wasn’t the common reaction from the rest of the internet though. For some reason, it became this ultra blown out of proportion debate on the cultural merit of his ability to wear said hairstyle and all sorts of other referendums on things that had nothing to do with his hair.

While the exact nature of or the arguments themselves aren’t our concern here, the actual fact that they exist are. For us, and perhaps even some of you out there, that has to have something to do with the fact that he is currently back to the inverted cow-lick type of hairstyle that he has been wearing for a while now prior to popping out with his braided look. Here he is with Miami Heat broadcaster Jason Jackson, via the twitter account of WPLG Local 10’s Will Manso.

As stated in Manso’s tweet, Herro explained why he wanted to go to the braids. He also made sure to get in the fact that they will be back. Again, why not, as they weren’t a bad look for the Miami Heat sniper.

He wasn’t quite Braid Wade, but he made it his own regardless. It’s a sidebar but relevant nonetheless, it’s a weird few weeks for Miami Heat hair, as former Heat swingman Josh Richardson recently went Oscar Awards all over his dome. You also have to include Meyers Leonard’s latest look as well, a tribute to cotton candy everywhere.

For the record, “weird” as used above isn’t bad, just different. Regardless of if it was a weird week or not though for hair overall in Miami Heat Nation, Herro’s wasn’t a bad look for him. Besides, if you have the game on the floor that he has, wear what you want, as long as you bring that A-game with you.
