The Miami Heat must bring Goran Dragic back. He was their big shot maker and leading scorer in the playoffs.

Leading Scorer Throughout The Playoffs

As mentioned, Goran Dragic was not only one of the Miami Heat’s best players throughout the regular season as their sixth man microwave off the pine, but he was their best scorer in the playoffs as a starting guard.

Goran hit tons of big shots in the biggest moments, while always giving the Heat a shot with his ability to do so at any time. Goran could be having an amazing night or one of his poorest, but when the money is on the line, the defense still knows that they have to lock in on the Dragon.

Or… he’ll burn you. That’s something that they were missing mightily in their Finals series against the Lakers.

We didn’t threaten them in the moments where things could have swung in any direction. That’s what Goran does and that also segues into the next reason.

He Is The Big Shot Taker and Big Shot Maker

As mentioned previously, the Miami Heat didn’t scare the Los Angeles Lakers in the clutch. In a pinch, when the Miami Heat needed a bucket and the Lakers were playing tight half-court defense, they couldn’t find a shot.

All too often it resulted in something that was out of control, a bad pass, or dare I say… a shot clock violation. That’s where Goran Dragic shines.

Not only is he as cold as anybody in the league when it comes to his conscience, his ability to take, and to make those shots without care, but he is also one of the premier tough shot makers in the entire league. You can count on that once per game.

You know. One of those “how in the heck did he finish that” type of floaters, driving layups, or jump shots with a man draped all over him.

Dragons are mystical creatures, but this one is just magic. That is the second reason why the Miami Heat must re-sign him.

When it all breaks down and you need a bucket, there are a few guys on the Heat who can get the job done, at times. However, there is no one that I trust more, all the time and in this situation, than Goran Dragic.
