The Miami Heat had a rather quiet offseason, but things might not be over yet. Should they keep an eye on what’s going on in Houston?

The Miami Heat didn’t make any splashy moves in the offseason. Although they signed Bam Adebayo to a long term extension, they appear to still be stuck to their plan of preserving maximum space for the offseason following this year.

With that in mind though, you have to ask a certain question with all the latest NBA news coming out and on the cusp of a new season. Are there situations out there that are still worth monitoring if you’re the Miami Heat?

In case you aren’t familiar with what we might be talking about, James Harden has been all over the news recently. Failing to report to training camp as of now, Harden has been spotted out in nightclubs, partying with rappers, and all while surrounded by rumors of wanting out of Houston.

There’s also that one report that says that Harden thinks of the Rockets as a “toxic” organization, the “Knicks of the South” even. Those are pretty harsh words.

Should the Miami Heat still be looking at this as an opportunity for them though? That’s an interesting question, as there are only three possible outcomes.
