The Miami Heat are worlds away from where they once were a few weeks back, however, that doesn’t mean that they still shouldn’t be in the market for help if they can come by it reasonably and especially with the way the rumor mill is working right now.
With that in mind, there was chatter and a certain vibe surrounding the Houston Rockets some time back about whether they would stick with what they have, as they weren’t playing well and the guys that are there were sounding off on it.
Well, they haven’t gotten much better and things haven’t changed much, on all fronts apparently. According to reports, the Houston Rockets fire sale may be back on.
The Miami Heat should definitely engage the Rockets about their available pieces, a few of them.
Specifically, Tim MacMahon reported on Thursday that P.J. Tucker and the Rockets had agreed to part ways. Tucker didn’t suit up in their Thursday contest either.
Even beyond just Tucker though and as has seemingly been the case for some time, Brian Windhorst of ESPN is doubling down on the notion that Victor Oladipo is also available and may not cost a team as much as most tend to think.
The Houston Rockets have another piece or two that could also command some interest. While John Wall doesn’t interest as much at this particular junction, more about how the Miami Heat are constructed than him, Jae’Sean Tate is a guy that has long peaked interest and could help this Miami Heat team.
He seems like a Miami Heat type of guy. He just works hard and does what needs to be done.
He’s listed somewhere between a shooting guard and power forward, but he plays and throws his weight around like a guy much bigger than he actually is. He just plays basketball and the right way.
The Houston Rockets have some things to figure out and the Heat should swoop in to help them make those decisions. Hopefully, this all means that a team like Miami won’t have to give up a ton to make something happen.
