The Miami Heat are built on a few things. Hard work, effort, and defense.

It’s really that simple. Though you may have a hard time telling that, at times, based on their most recent pair of games, that’s the name of the game in the Miami Heat organization.

So, it’s no shock that Jimmy Butler has been a hand in glove fit for Miami. Jimmy, as an individual, is built off of those same principles as well, perhaps, plus a few others.

With Jimmy, it’s not only hard work, effort, and defense, but a never back down demeanor, and a will to win that’s strong enough to crush Adamantium. That’s what made him not only an elite defender, but an elite two-way guy, capable of giving it to opposing defenses on that side of the ball as well.

To stick with the defense though, Jimmy Butler is one of the best out there and always has been. So, why then, has he never won or been a top guy for the NBA’s Defensive Player Of The Year?
