The Miami Heat need to make some adjustments heading into Game 3 against the Bucks and Dewayne Dedmon needs to be a big part of it.

For this reason, to start with, he must be deployed equally or more in Game 3 and especially for the Miami Heat to have a shot. That’s what common logic would say and especially with the efforts of some of the other guys at the moment, but here are a few more reasons.

The Miami Heat have done a decent job, at times, building the wall against Giannis, but that led to a ton of great looks from deep on Monday. Playing Dedmon more might allow them to shift Bam down to the four, allowing him to guard Giannis man-on-man a bit more.

While that’s just one theory and though it isn’t certain that it’ll work, you have to be willing to try anything to keep from being mauled as they were on Monday. If that means having to free up more guys to be able to run out to the three point line by shifting Bam down, then Dedmon is more than capable of handling the five-man’s role beside him.
