The Dallas Mavericks want to put as much talent around Luka Doncic as possible, meaning they could poach the Miami Heat point guard.

As long as he plays for the team, the Dallas Mavericks are going to do everything possible to keep Luka Doncic happy. Putting more players around him that can create their own shot would help do that.

During the playoffs last year, it was essentially Doncic against the world. Tim Hardaway Jr. played well, but there was a serious need for more production from the supporting cast.

Regardless of whether the Mavs trade Kristaps Porzingis, Nunn would provide some much-needed scoring. He also adds another efficient shooter to the roster that can make shots off the dribble.

Jalen Brunson only started 12 games for the Mavs last year, as Doncic took on the role as the primary ball-handler. Nunn would add to a very talented backcourt in Dallas.

A sign-and-trade could be possible in this scenario, which would greatly benefit the Miami Heat. If Hardaway wanted to play in Miami, the two teams could pull off a swap of the two players.

Though he’s smaller, Nunn would help replace the shooting they would be losing in Hardaway. As for the Heat, they would be doing the same thing by immediately replacing Nunn’s scoring.

Dallas should constantly be looking to add as much talent as possible around Doncic. Nunn should definitely be on their radar.
