Reggie Jackson is coming off a playoff run which saw him and Paul George lead the Clippers to a Western Conference Finals berth. He was playing on a minimum contract but will be looking to earn a much better deal this offseason.

He’s a 6-2 point guard who can play well on and off the ball. The Miami Heat need to add shooting this offseason, and Jackson’s three-point shooting shined throughout the postseason.

He averaged 17.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in the playoffs last year. In the 11 games the Clippers played, he shot 48.4% from the field and 40.8% from deep as well.

In the regular season, Jackson put up 10.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He shot 45% from the field and 43.3% from three-point range.

Jackson’s best trait, however, is likely his ability to go out and get a bucket. Whenever the Clippers needed a clutch basket in the postseason he was always there to deliver.

The Miami Heat could use more people like this on their roster. Though Jimmy Butler does a great job at doing this, Jackson is a much better three-point shooter and could do so from range at a higher clip.

Due to how important he was to their team in the playoffs, the Clippers will likely do everything possible to keep Jackson around. This will certainly drive his price up.

The Miami Heat would probably have to offer him a contract anywhere from $10-$15 million if they want to lure him away from LA. If they can, though, it would be a great signing.
