The Miami Heat have plenty of cap space to work with this offseason. With that being said, there’s always room to improve via trade as well.

Players such as Lonzo Ball and Kyle Lowry are supposedly targets this summer. There’s always the chance that they choose to sign elsewhere, though.

If the Miami Heat strike out on all the free agents they are chasing, trades could be the only way left to add talent. With a few holes on the roster going into next year, they would have to get crafty with how they add talent.

Unfortunately, they only have a few players under contract at the moment. Five to be exact unless they decide to accept team options on a couple of players.

Both Andre Iguodala and Goran Dragic have team options that the Miami Heat could choose to accept. Iguodala didn’t contribute much last year, but Dragic has been great for Miami, so they have a much harder decision to make regarding his option.

If they do accept both players’ options, it would give them more players to trade away. Also, since Iguodala and Dragic are on such large contracts, it would help match contracts.

Finding a guard or power forward to fill out the starting lineup would be ideal. The only question is, what players could be available via trade that would fit that bill?

What players aren’t being talked about enough in trade conversations? Who would fit best in their starting lineup next to Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo?
