The NBA Draft is only a few days away. Although the Miami Heat don’t have any picks, that doesn’t mean they can’t be active on the trade market on draft night.

Whether this means trading for a pick or simply making a move on the night of the draft, Pat Riley will certainly keep an eye out for any draft-night deals.

This is projected to be one of the best drafts in recent history. There could be some great players available even as late as the second round.

Some teams have been openly shopping their first-round picks in hopes of getting real NBA talent in return. That’s an area where the Miami Heat could certainly get involved.

Though they don’t have a ton of assets to trade, they still have some valuable pieces. Trading Tyler Herro would have to garner a serious return, but even outside of that they have a few players.

Goran Dragic has a team option, but if the Miami Heat accept that they could trade him away. Even players such as Precious Achiuwa and KZ Okpala could have some value if dealt to the right team.

The Miami Heat don’t have a ton of assets to work with, but trading players for picks could free up some extra salary this offseason. That extra salary could then be turned into roster upgrades.

Adding a couple of rookies to next year’s roster couldn’t hurt, either. It’s just a matter of which teams would be willing to strike a deal.

So, what deals could the Heat make on draft night? What are the most likely trade scenarios that would help further their offseason plans?
