The Miami Heat have a very talented roster, but the most intriguing part about it is the wide range of ages. There are veterans and young players alike.

Jimmy Butler is the clear leader on the team at 31 years old. However, next up is Bam Adebayo at only 24 years old.

Past that they have a 35-year-old Goran Dragic, a 21-year-old Tyler Herro, a 27-year-old Duncan Robinson, and so on. The point is, there’s a very good mix of young players and old players.

If the right pieces are added to this team this summer, they could undoubtedly compete for a championship. With that being said, it’s important to consider the future, too.

Adebayo is set up to lead this team for many years, with Herro potentially by his side. Adding some more quality young talent this offseason could be the key to solidifying that great future.

Outside of the main targets such as John Collins and Lonzo Ball, who are some underrated young players the Miami Heat could target in free agency this offseason?

Young players the Miami Heat should target: Mo Wagner – 24 years old

Mo Wagner played super well during his time with the Wizards and Magic last season. He struggled in his few games in Boston, but other than that he showed real potential.

The Miami Heat should look to add big men that can stretch the floor this offseason. Wagner does that super well.

In his 11 games with the Magic last year he averaged 11 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 40.9% from the field and 37.2% from deep. He shot 3.9 threes per game in Orlando.

He would be a decent option to play the four or the five off the bench for Miami. Having a big man to stretch the floor next to Adebayo moving forward would be great, and he likely won’t cost too much to sign.
