The Miami Heat weren’t going to enter this season as they did last season. In various ways but specifically here, it’s in reference to letting certain guys get away from there and at the very least, not doing anything in the way of replacing them.

Jae Crowder was that way from the NBA Bubble run Miami Heat, bringing a certain level of toughness on the floor, rebounding, and especially his shooting. They, flat-out, missed him.

And that still wasn’t enough, at times. Even with Jae Crowder, it was highlighted in those same NBA Finals that the Miami Heat needed to add some size to their ranks.

With all of the chaos of last year in consideration, you’d like to give them a pass, but you can’t and here’s why. While they will get the credit for bringing in Dewayne Dedmon for the last 20 games or so of last season, a huge help he was, he sat around all of last year before that happened.
