The Miami Heat expect their players to always do a few things. They always expect you to work hard, to give maximum effort, and to play defense.
That’s from the first guy on the team, the stars, to the last and final guy on the bench. While that is the expectation of all the guys, that especially is reflected in how their team is put together at the moment.
With Bam Adebayo, Kyle Lowry, Jimmy Butler, and P.J. Tucker, namely, they have four of the most gritty defenders in the entire league. That doesn’t mean that these are the only guys they have that can lock in on defense though.
The Miami Heat require that their guys, at least, always give a solid effort on defense. Gabe Vincent might do more than that this season.
Though he showed a bit of it last season, there is one guy who seems that he has a lot more he can offer on that side of the ball. Not to bury the lead, but that also fits right along with his bold prediction.
On last season, it was noted and reported on that Miami Heat guard, Gabe Vincent, had been taking lessons, of sorts, from longtime defensive ace and then Miami Heat guard, Avery Bradley. It showed up too, as Vincent proceeded to put some really good defense on tape, in example against Trae Young in one situation.
Here’s his bold prediction.
Bold Prediction: Gabe Vincent Will Be A Top Second-Unit Defender And Top-5 Guard-Defender On Team
After last season’s showing and with his new role with the team, this should be something that he strives for. If he can do this, his inconsistent shooting, at times, won’t be that big of an issue.
Hopefully, the teachings he gathered from Bradley were something long-rooted and deep-seated. If so, this bold prediction stands no chance at not being fulfilled.
