Reflecting on Miami Heat NBA trade rumors this offseason: Kevin Love

There was a point in time where a lot of people believed that the Miami Heat were going to try and pull off a Kevin Love trade. Some ideas included Collin Sexton as well, but Love was the name being thrown around most.

Some thought they would sign him after a buyout, but a trade was also supposedly on the table. Considering how quickly the Miami Heat signed Kyle Lowry, though, it’s hard to imagine there was much substance behind this.

It is possible that the Heat explored the idea of trading Tyler Herro for Love and Sexton, though. Not likely, but certainly possible.

This rumor could still end up coming true, but not in the form of a trade. If Love ends up getting bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Heat could be one of the teams who offer him a contract.
