The Miami Heat’s legendary and sometimes, infamous, Culture is a thing that permeates the entire building. That’s not just a catchphrase or something to market merchandise, it’s a real thing.

It also extends far beyond just the players on the court. From those guys in the locker room, to the coaches in the meeting rooms, to the personnel and chief decision makers in the business rooms, Culture is something that they all live by and operate under.

So, it makes no sense when a former member of the organization, a coach in this instance, takes that mantra and attitude with him wherever he goes. That seemed to be the situation with former Miami Heat top assistant and former NBA Head Coach, David Fizdale.

The Miami Heat way always follows those who have been apart of what it is they do there. The same is the case for anyone and David Fizdale is the proof of such.

In case you forgot though, here is proof. The Culture is present in the following, his most famous moment to date, some would say, and a reminder of who he is.

This was a Miami Heat type of outburst and expression, though with Memphis at the time, if there ever was one. While, again, with Memphis at the time, Fiz has gone on to coach in other situations since this one.

Before any of those though, he was a longtime assistant coach for a few different programs. He coached at San Diego, then at Fresno State, before joining Golden State, then the Atlanta Hawks, and all before finally coming to the Miami Heat, where he would spend eight years from 2008-2016.

Since coaching the Grizzlies and Knicks in a Head Coach capacity, he now has his next new role. He will reportedly join the Los Angeles Lakers’ coaching staff, but that isn’t shocking, as they tend to love to do what they Heat are doing or have done, it seems.

While it isn’t the greatest thing, being a chief competitor for the title this year and when talking the fact of just wanting Heat Guys to be Heat Guys, it makes sense. Being with the Miami Heat and a crucial part of LeBron James‘s time in Miami for the Big 3 Era, it would seem appropriate that he is joining that team to work with LeBron and all they have going on.

Again, that doesn’t mean that it has to be liked. Good stuff for Fiz, as you always want to see Heat people succeeding, however, that’s unless they are facing the Heat.

That just means that Spo will have a few times to beat up on him this year though. That’s all.
