The Miami Heat don’t often make a ton of mistakes. In part and mostly, to be fair, that’s because Pat Riley has a hand in most everything that happens.

While that is the case, they and like all other things on this celestial plane, are not infallible. They, too, have made mistakes.

Though some have been, a bit, bigger than others, none of them have really crippled them, as they have some other franchises in similar cirumstances. That, again, has a lot to with the cunning, charismatic, and risky nature of Pat Riley.

With that though, it begins one to wonder, what were some of their biggest mistakes? Well, here they are.

Here are three decisions that the Miami Heat probably wish they could undo.

Signing Hassan Whiteside To A Near-$100 Million Dollar Deal

Hassan Whiteside was another player that got them with the old swticharoo. Where it was the production for some that deteriorated, it was the attitude and team accountability for Whiteside.

While he still put up the numbers, he wasn’t working as hard as he could have, it seemed. There was also the issue of being able to sacrifice for the team.

He wasn’t willing to take a secondary role when the team needed him to, which ultimately led to his departure. For as productive, stats wise, as he was in his time on the floor, the Miami Heat probably regret going all-in for the big man like they did.
