Trades are one of the most interesting parts of professional sports. The Miami Heat have made a ton of trades over the years, but it’s impossible to know how well those trades turned out until years later.

Hindsight is always 20/20, and that saying applies to trades. The only way to know whether or not a team won a trade is to look back on the deal years later.

In this series of articles, we have looked at Miami’s trade history with various franchises. First was the Sacramento Kings, then the Dallas Mavericks, and then the New York Knicks.

The Miami Heat completed five trades with the Kings, four with the Mavericks, and one with the Knicks. In each circumstance, though, we were able to find a trade that the Heat won.

The way that teams have been chosen thus far is by spinning a random wheel. Today, the wheel landed on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Luckily enough, the Miami Heat have completed more trades with the Cavaliers than any other franchise in the NBA. Up to this point, the two franchises have done seven trades.

While it’s nearly impossible that the Miami Heat won every trade encounter, they have to have won at least one… right? It’s time to figure that out.

Before taking a look at which trade the Heat won, though, it’s important to break down every deal the teams have done. All seven of them.

What trades have the Miami Heat done with the Cleveland Cavaliers? Which ones were good, which ones were bad, and which one was the best?
