The Miami Heat will enter their upcoming season full of hope. With a new piece along for the ride in Kyle Lowry, their hopes and chances are as high as they’ve been in the last several years.

While they’ll certainly have a heck of a mountain to climb over in the Eastern Conference, in the form of Milwaukee, Brooklyn, and maybe even Philadelphia still, they are looking to do much more than that. Two seasons removed, at the starting point, from a run to the NBA Finals in the NBA Bubble, the Miami Heat are seeking real-deal hardware now.

First though, they must conquer the regular season and that isn’t a slip of the tongue. While most people have the Miami Heat pegged as the third or fourth best team in the conference, depending on your belief in Philadelphia, there is reason to believe they can attain a top-two seed at the end of it all.

While Brooklyn should be the favorites, having the most top-end talent and all, both, they and the Milwaukee Bucks could stutter at points. A similar phenomenon as the Miami Heat might encounter, Brooklyn may find themselves resting their key guys at points throughout the season, focusing more on preparation for a healthy and fit playoff run over regular season records.

That plays right into the prediction for the Miami Heat though. They should win over 50 games, however, 60 might be a stretch with the rest of the talent in the East and the fact that they may manage Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry some.

55 seems like it would be too easy and the standard, as common denominations like two or five are the go-to numbers. That’s how we got here.

Miami Heat Record Prediction – 54-28

They are capable of winning 60… and that’s a firm belief, if they go for it. However, they’ll manage themselves and likely, won’t.

That’s ok though, as long as the title is at the end of it all.
