With the Miami Heat and NBA season coming around the corner, there are a couple of early games that Miami Heat fans should circle on their calendars. Miami’s first thirteen games are pretty tough, but it’s better to get thrown into the fire early.

It will be a good test run to see what things Miami has to improve on and to see where they stack up against the rest of the league. That goes especially for the Eastern Conference, where they will be fighting for seeding and playoff placement throughout the whole year.

Here are a few games on the schedule to stay on high alert for. They shouldn’t come as a surprise.

 Milwaukee Bucks -October 21

The Miami Heat come up against the defending champs in the Milwaukee Bucks on opening night. In the first game of the year, Miami will have a tough challenge, but this Miami Heat team wouldn’t want it any other way.

Miami needs to come out and remember what happened last year during the playoffs, where the whole organization got embarrassed. This game should be personal for Miami.

Let’s see how Miami defends Giannis Antetokounmpo with P. J Tucker, now, on Miami’s side. It should be an early bloodbath.

The Miami Heat don’t have an easy schedule to start the year, but they’ll be better on the other side of it. Here are three early season games to be up for.

At Brooklyn Nets – October 27

Why not play, potentially, the best team in the league early in the year? Again, Miami will be tested early to start the season.

Many people believe that Milwaukee and the Brooklyn Nets will be the top two seeds in the East. We all know the star power that Brooklyn has and they now also have much-improved depth on the bench.

To be the best though, you have to beat the best and it’s as simple as that. Yes, it will be early in the season, so either way,  you really can’t judge too hard.

But, it will be a good test run in going at the best.

Boston Celtics – November 4

If being honest, the Boston game is an important game for a number of reasons. One reason will be for seeding.

Miami has a chance to be in the 3-5 seed range and likely, the same as Boston. Miami and Boston will be fighting for seeding throughout the year.

Why not get an earlier win during the season? You never know how the season will play out, as it’s been seen before that winning a lot of tiebreakers only helps you when it comes to seeding down the line.

Just, in general, Miami needs to beat the Boston Celtics at all times. It’s a must.

Miami fans can take a guarded look at their first thirteen games of the season. It is definitely going to be a tough challenge to start the year.

That’s for certain. However, Miami will embrace having a challenging schedule and more than likely, come out on the other side better for it.
