The Miami Heat enter this season with a real shot at doing something special. Though there are a few teams that could realistically go on to win the entire thing, the Miami Heat have to be up there with those select few and especially with the offseason they had.
While there are teams that most put on a separate tier than everyone else, the Lakers because of LeBron James, the Bucks because of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the Brooklyn Nets because of all they have, there is more to it than just that.
While it was shown on last season that even LeBron and AD could be beaten, the Bucks have been beaten by Miami, themselves, before. Basically, anything is possible.
The third team in that scenario and the one not immediately mentioned just a second ago, the Brooklyn Nets, they are the epitome of the volatility that could be the NBA’s Eastern Conference this season.
The Miami Heat have a chance to be special in the league and the Eastern Conference this year. That’s especially if the Nets can’t figure things out.
Surely, most are familiar with Kyrie Irving‘s situation by now? Well, things just got real, as they say.
Here is one of the latest developments in the scenario.
Well. That certainly does change things.
If he doesn’t play in those games, that’s 41 games, alone. That’s without considering if he misses time due to anything else… which could, literally, be anything with the guy in question.
The Brooklyn Nets can’t afford to not have their third best player and a top-20 guy in the league for half of their contests or more, while still expecting to win a title. That’s where it gets interesting for Miami.
With this set of circumstances, it certainly opens the door for greater fortune. Whether that be a higher seed in the playoffs or simply, a heighten ability to take them down should they meet in the postseason, it’s all good for Miami if he doesn’t decide to change his tune.
It’s totally up to him, however, it will certainly hurt his team. For what it’s worth, the belief here is that it isn’t as much of a gap between the Nets and the Heat, even if Kyrie plays (though not a popular opinion) but if he isn’t playing in half their games, that’s certainly the notion.
That’s also why nothing is impossible for the Miami Heat in the east this year. The uncertainty… is certainly fitting of the theme.
