Miami Heat: Best trade ever done with the Charlotte Hornets
By Jack Simone
As the preseason continues to move along, let’s take a look at the Miami Heat trade history with yet another team. This series has proven to be super interesting, so why not keep it going?
Miami has played great this preseason, picking up four wins and only losing once so far. Their one loss came just last night vs. the Atlanta Hawks.
They are setting up for a great regular season campaign, but until then, it’s time to continue this series of articles. What team trade history will be up next on the list?
Well, per usual, a random NBA team wheel was spun to decide which team should be explored. This time, the wheel landed on the Charlotte Hornets – a divisional rival.
The Miami Heat have actually played the Hornets once this preseason already. They took home the 104-103 win on the back of a clutch, and-one layup from Javonte Smart in the final seconds.
Despite the fact that neither organization has been around for that long, they actually have a pretty lengthy trade history. The two teams have completed five trades since they have been around.
This is the third-most trades the Heat have completed with any other franchise. Not all the trades have been blockbusters, but in hindsight, some of them are pretty interesting.
So, what does the trade history between the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets look like? And, since hindsight is 20/20, which trade ended up being the best for the Heat in the long run?
