The Miami Heat regular season is finally on the horizon! It’s been a long offseason, but things are finally about to tip off.

Amazingly enough, things will start for the Miami Heat, just how they ended last season. Well, hopefully, not in the same manner but definitely, against the same team.

It is well known what happened to the Miami Heat last season at the hands of these guys in the playoffs. If that is any indication of how they will play in their opening contest and in accordance with how the Bucks reacted in a similar circumstance, it should be fireworks from Miami’s side.

Per Brendan Tobin of 790 The Ticket, when Coach Spo was asked if the Miami Heat will take a similar attitude into their season opener as the Bucks had in their first matchup with the Heat in their first matchup after being eliminated the prior year in the Playoff Bubble, here is what he said.

"I don’t know, we’ll just… we have a very motivated group. We have great respect for Milwaukee and what they had to endure to earn that ‘chip, you know, we’re focused on the opportunity in front of us.There’s nothing like facing the champs to start your season."

That’s what Coach Spo is supposed to say though. However, you can be certain that the guys on this roster are fired up about getting the chance to face the Bucks again so quickly.

The Miami Heat will open their new season just how they ended their last one. Will they be on high alert and amped for the Milwaukee Bucks?

When you are talking about a guy like Jimmy Butler and a guy in Bam Adebayo, who has been and continues to be under the tutelage of the OG in Udonis Haslem, you can be sure they are extremely amped up about the notion of retribution… even if only slightly in a regular season game.

There is even a certain something to it for guys that weren’t there last season, well, sort of. Playing for the other side in the matchup on last season, P.J. Tucker had a colorful response to the whether it was awkward playing his first game as a member of the Miami Heat against his former team.

It was, undoubtedly, the correct response and the one you wanted to hear as a Heat supporter, player, or member of the organization. ‘

"Yea, honestly, we were just talking about this. And I, honestly, as soon as you sign somewhere else, it’s like, almost erase it.To me, my mind erases. I got a new team, new challenges, new people I’m playing with. It’s all different, a new city, so for me it’s like, the last thing on my mind.Erase right back to this year… like, right to what I’m trying to do this year. Trying to win again on a different team."

The Miami Heat better have their stuff together though, as the champs are sure to be aware of what the Heat might be thinking. Plus, if Giannis really is as improved a player he has shown to be early on, things could get really sticky.

The Miami Heat have Bam though, so things will be just fine there. Either way, you can’t wait to see it and it’s sure to be a barn burner, especially with the juice that this matchup should have.
