Bleacher Report recently put out an article where they gave one hot take about every NBA team. Their hot take for the Miami Heat was both surprising and not surprising at the same time.

The takes varied between team takes and player takes, but Miami’s was about a specific player. They talked about Tyler Herro and the season he could potentially have.

The not-so-surprising take on Herro that Bleacher Report had was that he will take home the Sixth Man of the Year award. With the way he has been playing, this has a real chance of happening.

Bleacher Report had this hot take about Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat

The reason this wasn’t very surprising was that Bleacher Report has made this prediction before. They have been saying that Herro has a chance to win the award for a while now.

It’s also a take that we at All U Can Heat have been saying for a while now. With his talent and his current situation off the bench, there’s no reason it can’t happen.

The hotter take that Bleacher Report had dealt with Herro’s place on the Miami Heat. They said that Herro is the team’s “alpha scorer” this season.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo have led the team in scoring for the past two seasons. Saying that Herro will jump both of them in one year sounds a bit crazy… or does it.

So far this season, Herro has played well enough to be the leading scorer on the team. Butler took that spot after a monster game vs. the Magic, but it’s still close.

In fact, Herro currently leads the team in field goal attempts right now with 19.3 per game. It’s also not crazy to think that it could stay that way.

With the way Herro played in the preseason, and the way he’s played so far this year, the team has every right to trust him in taking the most shots. He’s been nothing short of amazing for them.

Maybe Bleacher Report is right on this one – could Herro be the alpha scorer on the Miami Heat? Only time will tell, but he sure is off to a great start.
