The Miami Heat are among the league’s best. That’s, well, if they aren’t the league’s very best team at the moment.

Depending on whom you ask or look to, the Miami Heat might be the best team in the league or a top three team, minimally. Either way those things go at the moment though, they are surely one of the league’s elite, equipped to do something special this season, and well on their way to doing just that.

Their stars have been a huge part of it all. Jimmy Butler is the number one candidate for the league’s MVP Award and though still early as early can get, that says something.

Kyle Lowry hasn’t quite hit his typical offensive stride yet, though he began to show a bit more of that in the Miami Heat’s last contest, a win over Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. Tyler Herro has a ton to say about their success too, playing at a level right now that could lead to some pretty freaky things come the midway point of the season.

Even amongst all of that though, Bam Adebayo is among their best players every single night.

The Miami Heat are off to a great start, both as a team and for some of their individual players. Bam Adebayo definitely qualifies there.

While Jimmy is, undoubtedly, the engine that makes them go, Bam Adebayo is the frame that carries it all around.

Rebounding the ball like a madman to begin the season, averaging 14 per contest, thats not even where he impresses you the most. Averaging 20 points per contest to begin the year, that’s the biggest improvement to Bam’s game thus far, his aggression for his own offense.

With a request for him to average, at least, 15 FGA per game coming into the season here, he sits at 14 attempts per contest right now.

Based on his play, his newfound willingness to go get it, some of the opportunities that might appear to be left on the court, and simply, him still feeling it all out, you have confidence that he’ll get to that one extra attempt per game, at least and pretty soon.

Right now though and regardless of if he’s getting to the 15 or not, he’s being so efficient and useful with his 14 that you don’t mind. Hopefully though and as we know to be the case, he isn’t complacent or satisfied.

It’s too early in the year for that and besides, that just isn’t Bam. If he continues to elevate his output and in part, by continuing to elevate his volume of shots and opportunities, he’ll continue to rise in the MVP Rankings himself.

While he sits at six in the latest round, he, very well, could find himself closer to where his teammate, Jimmy Butler, sits once it’s all said and done. That’s at the top of the list for the league’s Most Valuable Player.

We’ll continue to monitor the situation. Hopefully, the results continue to be this good.
