The Miami Heat knew they would need everyone to do more coming into Wednesday’s contest. Already being without their top two guys, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, the Miami Heat would also be without their number two scoring option and another top-four guy for them, Tyler Herro.

That wasn’t too much of an issue though or at least, it didn’t seem that way, as the Miami Heat jumped right out on the Philadelphia 76ers. Duncan Robinson came out hot to start and so did the rest of the team, going on to make 11 first-half threes in the game.

Though the Miami Heat would find themselves up nearly 20 on multiple occasions, the Philadelphia 76ers would still find a way to make this one a tight finish.

Propelled by the first-half efforts of Joel Embiid and then the second-half efforts of Tyrese Maxey, they just weren’t going to go away.

That was ok though. Because as he had done before and in another game this season where the Miami Heat didn’t have Tyler Herro, the first matchup against the Chicago Bulls, Gabe Vincent stepped up to give the Heat what they needed.

The Miami Heat needed a huge game from someone Wednesday to beat Philly and they got it. Gabe Vincent must’ve entered the building feeling dangerous.

Not only would Vincent hit the biggest shot of the game for Miami, a three in the waning moments that would eventually be the shot to put the 76ers away for good, but he would give them that same type of outside shooting and scoring boost all night long.

If it weren’t for what he was able to provide on Wednesday night, the Miami Heat probably lose that game. Gabe would finish with 26 points, two boards, and three assists on 8-16 from the floor and 7-12 from three.

The man that has struggled to make shots across his time with the Miami Heat before this season has shot the ball much better this season and this one — was epic. The Miami Heat also helped themselves out by making Joel Embiid look average on Wednesday and especially in the second half.

Allowing him to score 14 in the opening sector of ball, he would only score three points in the entire final half. That’s a way to beat them.

Well, that and the hot Gabe shooting. The Miami Heat have a day off on Thursday before heading back to Florida to take on their in-state neighbors Friday, the Orlando Magic.
