The Miami Heat get one game closer to finishing a road trip on Friday, somewhat, as they head to Orlando to face the Magic. In the state of Florida still, it shouldn’t be that hard to feel a sense of comfort.

Getting right down to the business of it all, this should be a win for the Miami Heat. The past and history say so, one would think.

Of the last 12 games played and with one occurring this season, since 2018-2019, the Miami Heat have won 7/12 of these matchups with their little brother. For all intents and purposes, you have to see it that way,

The sustained amount of success and excellence is one thing, while the ability to come through on the things that you are supposed to come through on is another. The Orlando Magic have zero titles to show for Shaq & Penny or the greatness that was the Dwight Howard Era (he’s Top 75 by the way, but that’s another topic).

On the other hand, the Miami Heat have two to show for the Big 3 Era— alone. It’s not even close.

Of the same nature, but totally closing the door on any argument, there is also this. Across 34 years of existence, the Miami Heat have three NBA Championship banners hanging up, a number that ranks good enough to be tied at sixth with two other historic franchises, the Pistons and the 76ers.

Meanwhile and in just one year younger as a franchise, the Magic have no titles. That’s the end all be all.

The Miami Heat head back to Florida Friday to face Magic, before heading to Detroit Sunday. They should beat their in-state neighbors, but will they?

Enough about history though, here are the odds and information for Friday’s contest, the latest installation of this in-state faceoff.

Analysis

Well, with that out of the way, there’s no need to draw it out. The Miami Heat are the better team here, even without their top two guys going.

Heck, even if Tyler Herro is out again for this one, they should still be able to win this one without much trouble. The Orlando Magic are a young team that is looking for something, which their record of 5-24 says.

The Miami Heat are a team looking to manage until they can get healthy and with the results they’ve put up while ”managing”, it’s clear they plan to be pretty formidable once whole. This one is a game where all the lines play.

Take the moneyline for the Heat, it’s a good play. You don’t have to bet a ton to win something.

Take the spread too, it’s a good number. Even with what they might be missing, the four should be coverable.

The total is a pure 50/50 play, but either has a good chance. That’s truly a gamble, but worth the risk when the bookmakers think it’ll be this close, so take the over.

As always, choose smartly and wager wisely!
