The Miami Heat haven’t had a ton of problems lately, relative to and in spite of all they’ve had going on with their roster. They’ve actually found themselves in a good place.

They’ve been able to take advantage of their extremely versatile depth to get some key wins.

Without star guys and their two best players though, Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler, along with the absences facilitated by the NBA’s health and safety protocols, the Miami Heat could’ve stood to have all of that depth intact for this latest stretch they’re in the midst of.

They have been able to find a way behind Kyle Lowry and enough of their regular guys on a nightly basis. Keep in mind, this has been a shuffled group from night to night, as they dealt with the absence of a guy like P.J. Tucker, while they continue to miss role guys like Dewayne Dedmon and KZ Okpala.

Another guy that they certainly could have used and hope to get back, any day now, is Markieff Morris.

The Miami Heat have been without Markieff Morris since early November with an injury. While his return seemed near, perhaps he was not as close to a return.

Having not played since the early November game against Denver, the 8th of that month, there were signs that he may be on the cusp or closer to a return than he wasn’t.

There are some recent reports, so to speak, that make those circumstances murky. Here is a bit of information from Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel that really gets the antenna up.

According to this comment from the Miami Heat head coach, you are no closer to knowing when he’ll be back than you have been all along. This isn’t saying a ton, but also says a lot.

They haven’t made a determination. What it doesn’t tell you is why.

That would be the key question and something we can only wait for an answer to. It’s also something that may not receive an answer, only to be addressed in some fashion when and if he returns to the floor.

Hey, he could return to the floor any day now and that would be great for him and his team. However, based on the Comments from Coach Spo, his return might not be as soon as he or some others may think.
