Here’s a name that those that follow the Miami Heat didn’t think they would hear this offseason. With speculation that seems to heavily revolve around the Utah Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell and even Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls, why not add another biggish name to the list.

That name would be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Admittedly though and before going through this exercise, there hasn’t been anything linking the Miami Heat to the 23-year-old, it just leans towards Pat Riley’s insinuation that anything is possible as he tied a bow around the season.

While it’s hard to say exactly what the Oklahoma City Thunder are doing with their roster, continuing to stockpile draft picks, they could go in a few directions based on the potential of their latest draft pick, with the versatile Josh Giddey having a great rookie year.

To be completely honest, you have to look at the Oklahoma City approach as a bit weird. With that, would it actually be a huge shocker to see them trade Gilgeous-Alexander—at the right price, of course?
