The Miami Heat came up short of their goal to reach the NBA Finals this season. Although it was a great year for the Heat, falling short of their goal means they can be better.

Everyone has room to improve. There were some key struggles for Duncan Robinson this season as well that ultimately led to him being benched for the majority of the playoffs.

The first issue was his poor shooting. He started off the season as a starter in a shooting slump.

While he eventually rediscovered his shooting ability, he wasn’t quite where he was a few years ago. Robinson’s lack of production in other areas then ultimately led to Max Strus becoming the safer bet for the starting spot.

So, what’s next for Duncan Robinson? It is possible that the Miami Heat will involve him in a trade this offseason to strengthen the offensive versatility of their roster.

If they elect to keep Robinson though, it will be up to him to put in the work and effort to earn back his minutes.
