The Miami Heat need to be proactive as the offseason gets underway. With a potential Heat target, Christian Woods, on the move across the state of Texas to Dallas from Houston, the options will start to come off the board before the Heat know it.

One potential option should be Mo Bamba, a guy set to be a free agent this summer. When you look at it from an overarching perspective, one should think that Bamba will have a lot of teams calling him for his service.

He’s big, long, somewhat athletic, can help provide rim protection, and shoots the three-ball well for a man of his size (38 percent in this past season). The Miami Heat should be looking to add another big man with their need to get bigger and longer.

Bamba fits what Miami is looking for. Though he hasn’t lived up to his draft expectations, he has shown flashes of being a starter in the NBA over the past two seasons.
