The Miami Heat are surely in the midst of their offseason business, having moved on from the defeat that was the Game 7 loss in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Boston Celtics. That includes preparing for the NBA Draft, free agency, and for whatever the NBA trade market might place before them.

While that is how the organization’s offseason is going, the players are taking time out to enjoy their other interests, hobbies, or business ventures. And it’s a well-known fact, by now, that one of Jimmy Butler‘s biggest interests outside of basketball is coffee!

Jimmy Butler seems to love everything about the java bean. And according to him, the people love it too!

Here is what he told Anthony Puccio of Front Office Sports when asked what makes “Big Face coffee” unique and the feedback he’s receiving about the product.

"Almost everything is sold out, and that’s the best feedback you can ever get. We’re listening to the people, what they want, and how we can try bringing that to the market in what they’re asking for — especially when it comes to the merch. We have a great team that, along with me, is picking a different and great variety of beans. More than anything, coffee brings people together, it forces you to sit down, enjoy a cup, and have a conversation with somebody."

The Miami Heat didn’t win an NBA title this season and it hurts. You really like how it matters to your stars as much as it matters to everyone else though.

Here’s the thing that makes Jimmy Butler unique though, well, sort of. With every fiber of his being, winning matters to him.

Losing hurts more than a lot of things, it seems, and you can tell, not only, by the way he carries himself in defeat but also by how he reacts in short order to defeat. Here is the part of that interview in question here.

Here is what Butler had to say after being asked this question by Puccio.

"Q: You guys have been knocking on the championship door since you got to Miami. Is there anything you felt you guys were missing?Jimmy: Man, honestly, I’m not ready to talk about basketball yet. I’m still in my feelings, so I don’t really get into it. I can’t. You’re opening up a door of emotions. I just want to talk about coffee and ice cream, my brother."

He just wants to talk about coffee and ice cream right now. Ice cream is a common occurrence after great pain.

You know, like when you have major dental work done, all you can do is eat a lot of soup, soft food, and ice cream.

After the pain of losing in the Eastern Conference Finals, that’s all Jimmy wants to talk about. Now, it’s also why you love him.

He hasn’t run from accountability, responsibility, or blame. It just still hurts too much to talk about and you like to see that from your best players.

That means that it absolutely matters to him—as much as it does to everyone else that works for, roots for, or supports the Miami Heat.
