The Miami Heat have submitted a trade offer to the Utah Jazz All-Star shooting guard, Donovan Mitchell. Miami fans and experts, for weeks, have been saying that Mitchell was going to be on the Heat list when free agency started and now looks to be a real possibility.

With Rudy Gobert shipped off to Minnesota, those chances may have actually grown exponentially. If the trade does meet what the Jazz’s requirements and Mitchell does end up in Miami, what does he bring to the table for the Miami Heat?

The former first-round pick out of Louisville has made an impact ever since joining the Utah Jazz back in 2017. Since joining the league, Mitchell has become a three-time NBA All-Star and would be named to the All-Rookie team back in the 2017-18 NBA season.

The Miami Heat are weighing their options and one of them appears to be Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz. If they land him, he can help them win big.

Mitchell, who averaged 25 points, four rebounds, and five assists per game last season, helped the Utah Jazz make it to the NBA Playoffs before they were eliminated in the Western Conference’s First Round by the Dallas Mavericks.

So, how would Mitchell help improve the Miami Heat and make them a contender? With Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Victor Oladipo, all guys you expect to still be there if a trade gets done, Mitchell would be able to make more plays than ever.

That’s, either, from behind the three-point line or in the paint. Mitchell’s passing ability would allow him to find the Adebayo down low in the paint and create openings when driving to the basket.

He would also work well with Butler’s style of play, as they both are able to look to attack the basket and knock down clutch outside shots in tight situations. Donovan Mitchell’s play style would work well in Eric Spoelstra’s system, though a few tweaks would be needed for the ball-dominant guard.

As of now, Miami Heat fans and experts have all eyes on Kevin Durant, but Mitchell is right behind him. If Spida is eventually the guy though, he could help propel the Miami Heat back to the NBA Finals.
