The Miami Heat are in a classic NBA pickle. While they are seemingly doing all they can to acquire another high-impact player on the trade market, the reports and rumors of the happenings are running rampant.

On top of that though, just the finicky nature of NBA trades in themselves, they also now have another factor to deal with. Recently asked about the trade rumors, another report recently dropped that speaks towards the Miami Heat’s potential willingness to include Bam Adebayo in a deal for Kevin Durant.

Here is the quote. It comes from Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

"A party familiar with the Heat’s approach told the Sun Sentinel that while there has been internal consideration of the team utilizing center Bam Adebayo as a trade component, at least one influential member of the organization has shot down the notion."

The Miami Heat have reportedly had conversations about moving Bam Adebayo for Kevin Durant. They shouldn’t, but the rumors should motivate Bam though.

Now, that’s the second part of the pickle. Where trade talks can have a few impacts on a player, there are two that stand above all else.

In managing this situation, a team would have to make sure they can reassure a guy that they are still all in on him, especially after hearing his name in these kinds of talks.

With Bam Adebayo, you can’t be so sure he’s the type of guy to let himself go there though and especially when it comes to a Heat team that has shown him nothing but immense love throughout his career. Here’s what you should think can happen though.

It should motivate him to have one of his best years yet and to fully become the guy that his talent says he can be. He has all the skills and ability—he just has to want it.

For what it’s worth at this point, they shouldn’t move him. The Brooklyn Nets seem to be overvaluing their position and leverage, while after seeing the Nets implode this past season, they can’t hope to salvage it.

However, then again they might. But that just works out for everybody else in the Eastern Conference.

As far as the Bam Adebayo and Miami Heat trading him rumor, itself, goes though, it should only stand to motivate a guy who is as talented as Bam Adebayo is to make himself an untradeable piece.
