The Miami Heat haven’t been able to make an earth-moving move on the NBA trade market as of yet. It’s actually quite uncertain if they’ll be able to, at all, before they must begin to look towards a contingency plan of moving on.

However and for all that has been rumored in the past month or so, there are some that just aren’t content with letting the chatter go or die. That would be—the subjects of a lot of the rumors themselves.

While Kevin Durant doesn’t have an active hand in one of the latest instances of interest, a guy that Brooklyn is said to want from Miami in any potential Durant deal does. That would be Bam Adebayo.

Partnering with Donovan Mitchell recently in a Miami Pro League, their relationship has always been a dynamic that’s been discussed when talking Mithell and the Miami Heat as well.

Not only is there that connection to the Miami Heat’s greatest player ever in Dwyane Wade, having a similar play style, idolizing Wade, and Wade actually being associated with Mitchell’s current team, but there has also been that longstanding relationship between Mitchell and Adebayo.

Instances like these aren’t ones that will actually move the needle, as far as actual NBA franchises doing a deal faster or actually doing one at all, but it does help keep life sustained with some of these rumors.

The Utah Jazz got back an enormous haul for Rudy Gobert and are said to want seven or eight first-rounders for Mitchell. The Miami Heat shouldn’t be willing to go that high for anyone not named Giannis Antetokoumpo, Kevin Durant, or LeBron James.

In fact, it would still be something to feverishly think about then. While there is no real movement on the matter, there are situations like these.
