As the Miami Heat continue to trudge along in their preseason, things are beginning to sort themselves out, well, sort of. Tyler Herro got a new deal, in case you hadn’t heard.

The Miami Heat’s power forward scenario may not be in such shambles after losing P.J. Tucker to the Philadelphia 76ers, as Caleb Martin looks poised to be able to step in and give quality minutes in the role. Well, that’s if Nikola Jovic doesn’t make the Miami Heat consider him there.

Darius Days had his two-way contract snatched from his grasp by the play of Jamal Cain. If you have been watching the guy play this preseason, it seemed pretty inevitable.

However, the Miami Heat do seem to have one situation bubbling up that wasn’t the most expected.

The Miami Heat have gotten elite shooting from Duncan Robinson and Max Strus in recent years, just not simultaneously. That all may be about to change though.

Though you shouldn’t have expected a shooter as great as Duncan Robinson traditionally has been to continue slumping as he did, at times, last season, no one could have potentially seen this.

Not only is Duncan Robinson looking like himself of old when it comes to his ability to nail the long ball, but he is even adding some stuff to his game, diversifying his offensive repertoire if you will. But here’s the thing, Max Strus isn’t going anywhere.

So, where does that leave the Miami Heat if Duncan Robinson is not only, indeed, back but also with a few more tricks in his bag? It leaves them with two of the league’s most lethal shooters and in an ideal position.

Let’s be clear, this should have always been the hope for the two of them, to have them on fire together and not as an either-or choice. To go further, most teams hope to get just one guy like this in their system or along their roster and the Miami Heat have two.

The real beauty though, which remains to be seen as this is just the preseason—is that they may finally have them both going strong at the exact same time. Now that could be downright scary for the opposition.
