The Miami Heat recently played the Los Angeles Lakers, winning the game 112-98. It was a well-rounded victory for the Heat.

That game also had a little more meaning to it because of who was playing on the other side. The Heat always want to bring their best effort against former Miami Heat champion, LeBron James.

They also have the added motivation that the Lakers defeated them in the 2020 NBA championship. Since that Finals loss, the Heat have turned the tables on the Lakers.

Miami has won four of its last five games against the Los Angeles Lakers.

While the Heat have remained a competitive playoff team, the Lakers have struggled and failed to make the playoffs last season.

The Miami Heat are hovering around the .500 mark right now, but the Lakers are several games out of playoff position. Their struggles have generated interest across the league about a possible LeBron James trade scenario, especially with his recent comments describing his frustration with the team.

Given the current state of the Lakers, would it be possible that LeBron James actually requests a trade?
