The Miami Heat just recently left the Los Angeles area after spending four days in Tinsel Town. Having two games there, against both the Clippers and the Lakers, they were able to nab one of the games at the Crypto.com Arena.

With them being defeated on Wednesday night by a team without LeBron James or Anthony Davis in the lineup, it was one of their most baffling defeats of the year. However, they do still roster Dennis Schroder and Russell Westbrook, two high-level players in their own rights across their careers, so it isn’t that much of a shocker.

In any event and speaking of one of those guys that didn’t play for LA on Wednesday, LeBron James, one longtime and forever Miami Heat player actually credits “Bron” for helping him become such a longtime guy. Here is what we mean here.

The Miami Heat’s ‘OG’ has lasted two decades in the NBA. And he credits a lot of that endurance to the lessons he was able to pick up from LeBron James.

Looking at the way LeBron James has managed to stay absolutely elite at his advanced age, the Miami Heat’s Udonis Haslem isn’t quite still as potent as James is. However, the fact that he is still able to offer anything in the NBA at the age of 42 is amazing.

Having to be called into action a few times this year for a Miami Heat team struggling with depth and injuries, Haslem still has enough pop to give you what you need from him in a few minutes on a couple of occasions. Most notably though, his head coach still seems to trust him, which is more important than anything.

As far as the Miami Heat, as a team, and where they stand right now, they have to continue to clean up, fine-tune, and figure some things out—such as the ever-evolving puzzle that is consistently maximizing all their guys.

But you trust that they can do that. They, like a lot of other teams around the league that haven’t quite played up to their standards yet, are right there in it.

They just have to keep working and it will happen, as The OG Udonis Haslem has done for all these years. And you better believe that he is reminding them of just that every chance he gets.
