The Miami Heat didn’t land Kyrie Irving, a heavily publicized fact at this point.
With Irving and Markieff Morris set to head to Dallas to play alongside, Luka Dončić for a package consisting of, Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and draft picks being sent to Brooklyn, the Miami Heat are still left searching for a move.
Two days after Kyrie Irving requested a trade from the Nets, he has been traded to the Mavericks to join forces with Luka Dončić, sources tell @ShamsCharania.

Now, it was never anything close to a level of certainty that the Miami Heat would land Kyrie Irving in the first place with them mainly having eyes for Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, or Tyler Herro—however, his heading to Dallas makes it a certainty that they won’t land him.
In that event, what’s going on out in Dallas isn’t too much of a concern at the moment, as they aren’t one of the immediate teams in the Miami Heat’s way to progress through the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
And if Dallas did ever become a concern, then it all went well anyway—because it wouldn’t be until the NBA Finals. But, the other team’s remaining fate is of immediate concern to the Miami Heat.
