The Miami Heat may just have come up big on the NBA Buyout Market. In a move that wasn’t suspected and with all signs pointing to the two parties maintaining the desire to continue their relationship, the Cleveland Cavaliers and power forward, Kevin Love, have agreed to a buyout.
And with that occurrence, one would automatically suspect the Miami Heat of having an interest in the former NBA champion. With a need for a power forward, with their need for shooting, with the need for another big man presence, and simply—with the need for depth, overall, with injury and after shipping out Dewayne Dedmon at the trade deadline for nothing, this move could come as a godsend for the Miami Heat.
And according to the reports, they are indeed interested in the former UCLA Bruin.
The Miami Heat need to add a piece or two. And with Kevin Love recently becoming free from Cleveland, he seems like just the guy to add.
The Miami Heat have been challenged all year long when it comes to the things that they expect of their big-man rotation. When it comes to getting easy offense, an easy bucket at the rim, rebounding the basketball, and simply having more effective guys to place in that rotation, the Miami Heat haven’t had the most abundant set of guys to work with.
If they can, somehow, add Kevin love to the room, you have to believe that he can still be a massive source of shooting, scoring, and rebounding, even at this stage in his career. Again and besides, simply having another big body to play on a night-to-night basis is very valuable in itself to the Heat right now.
With all the aforementioned, along with his championship-caliber experience, this could be a move that goes a long way for the Miami Heat.
And though only time may tell, as there should surely be, at least, one or two more teams interested in his services, if they can add Love, it might be just the type of move they have needed to get them where they need to be all along.
