The Miami Heat have yet to make a move on the NBA Buyout Market, but with names like Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love out there, they’d better look to make a move sooner than later. With the All-Star break on the horizon, the Miami Heat have time to go about their business and bring in a key acquisition that could help them reach the heights that they hoped to all along at the end of the season.

But what if they don’t get one of the bigger guys? Specifically, what if a guy like Russell Westbrook decides to revisit an old pairing of his?

What if he chooses Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls over the Miami Heat? Well, if that is the case, there may be another option.

The Miami Heat are looking to add and Russell Westbrook is a candidate. But if the Bulls need a roster spot to sign him or anyone, they’ll cut Goran Dragic.

There are reports out there that indicate that the Chicago Bulls are gearing up to release a guy to create a roster spot.

If Russell Westbrook does end up with the Chicago Bulls or in the event that the Miami Heat actually choose not to pursue him, while the Chicago Bulls do decide to let go of Goran Dragic, you have to imagine that Miami will be in on the long time Heat guard.

And while there may still be other moves out there deemed more worthy, there is something to be said for The Dragon’s familiarity, experience, and chemistry with a lot of the guys on this team already. The Miami Heat still have a lot of decisions to make and dominoes they need to fall.

However, if Russell Westbrook is one of their choices and he goes to the Bulls, at least Goran Dragic could make for a nice consolation prize.
