Former Miami Heat guard, Goran Dragić, was recently waived by the Chicago Bulls and you know what comes next. There are those out there, quite a few, that are clamoring for a reunion.

And let’s be clear right out front, there’s no doubt that it would be another fantastic story for Miami Heat lore, such as Dwyane Wade being traded back in 2018 or Mario Chalmers returning on a 10-day contract in December of 2021.

Dragić is, indeed, a Heat Lifer and deserves a chance in the league, despite battling Father Time. However, there are three major concerns that could spoil a potential reunion party with the Miami Heat.

The first thing that would shut it down is that the Heat have already filled out the roster. They have 15 players with the recent additions of Kevin Love and Cody Zeller.

So, even if Miami wanted to add an aging Dragić, they’d have to cut a player. But that takes you to the names that would likely come up in that scenario if it ever really became a conversation.
