Does a LeBron James to the Miami Heat narrative make more sense than if he were to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers? To most fans, no. However, ESPN's Brian Windhorst just brought up an interesting angle for why it might.

“The more I thought about it I just think Miami is a more viable option than I was given it credit for. The story makes sense in Cleveland, that’s the cleanest story. But the story in Miami is there too if he wants it. The CLE/PHI roster is more built out from straight basketball. I hear people talking about ‘story, story, story’ I think there’s a story to tell in Miami too. That’s all I’m saying.”

In all fairness, this could just be the media trying to fill time until LeBron makes a decision, but, in a way, this is something that could make sense.

Could LeBron James have some unfinished business in Miami?

In theory, LeBron could be considered to have some "unfinished business" in Miami. Even though he did have a successful run with the Heat, I'm not sure anyone, even him, would consider it an overwhelming accomplishment on his resume.

And it's not even about the "not 1, not 2, not 3..." quote. It's more than that. The idea that LeBron only spent four years in Miami alongside Pat Riley doesn't feel right, especially considering he gave eight to Los Angeles and a combined 11 to Cleveland.

If there's any unfinished business, it's probably in Miami.

LeBron did the Cleveland return. He won the championship. He was the hero, and still will be. No matter what he does next, LeBron will be the King of Cleveland.

Would it be a good story if LeBron went to Cleveland to perhaps put them over the top again? Absolutely. Fans would eat it up, and it would be a great swan song for him.

But so would a move to Miami.

LeBron could cement his legacy in Miami

Can you imagine the story that could be told if he were to return to Miami, perhaps if he won another chip, bridging his tenure with the team to Giannis Antetokounmpo's and Bam Adebayo's?

He'd also help heal the relationship that was broken between him and the fans when he left. That's not necessarily something that he needs to do, but it would go a long way in helping seal his legacy in Miami.

There's a strong argument to be made that LeBron has already sealed his legacy for both Los Angeles and Cleveland. In Miami, it's reasonable to suggest there is still some solidifying to do, or that can be done.

Of course, all of this could be for naught. The Cavs should still be considered the overwhelming favorite to land LeBron. But if there is any other potential landing spot that makes sense, it's probably the Heat. And Windy just made that quite clear.
