The Miami Heat have to make a trade at this point… right?

The Miami Heat, perhaps, haven’t hit rock bottom quite yet, but the floor of said bottom isn’t that far off. After being up as many as 19 points on Wednesday night to the Golden State Warriors, you guessed it, they messed around and dropped that game.

How does that happen? How?

How… on what Earth, rather, is that possible? This isn’t the first time though.

Traditionally a Miami Heat team known for their penchant to come back or never be out of a game, they have found themselves on the other end of that phenomenon this season. They’ve found themselves there a lot.

The Miami Heat just aren’t a good team right now, meaning they have to make a trade, right?

With all of that going on, it has to make you wonder. How can the Miami Heat logically get any better at this point?

Well, while internal improvement is a must and has to happen for this team to get any better, regardless of what else happens, there are or is another option. While the NBA’s legendary buyout market should be a thing, perhaps for Andre Drummond (and boy do we need a guy of his ilk), the Miami Heat might be more comfortable going the route of a trade.

While the buyout market doesn’t render you needing to give up an asset, resource, or trade chip, the team and person making the decisions does have more control when talking a trade. If we know anything about Pat Riley, he’ll opt for the route that puts him squarely in the seat to make his own decision.

The Miami Heat have to do something at this point. I honestly don’t know if they could realistically get an actual guy that could help them change things right now, meaning they probably can’t get that high quality of a guy, but anything to shake this whole thing up right now would be welcomed.

We would rather get an impact guy, but beggars can’t be choosers. They have to make a move to mix it up a bit, one would think because right now, they just look stale.
