Is it worth Miami Heat’s pursuit if Kyle Kuzma wants out of Washington?

The Miami Heat still have a lot of figuring to do when it comes to getting to where they actually want to be this season. While a lot of that seems to be more likely to come from internal improvement, they could, potentially, help themselves along the way to getting there by bringing in external reinforcements.

Though there are a few possible candidates or names that have been associated with the Miami Heat, from the since-San Antonio-signed Stanley Johnson to the mercurial case of Jae Crowder, there is one out there that hasn’t really been linked but seems to be a guy that can be had.

Having one of his best seasons as a pro thus far, again, the Miami Heat haven’t been linked to the big skilled Washington Wizard, Kyle Kuzma. But that’s exactly why if it were at all possible, the Miami Heat should want to create a link with him.

Kuzma is the type of guy that would, not only, fill a Miami Heat void positionally and depth-wise, of course, but he brings something else with him.

The Miami Heat may be finding something but still have to keep going. Perhaps, adding a certain type of player could accelerate that pace.

Though he isn’t a star, he is one of those pseudo-star types.

Kuzma may, very well, become an All-Star one day, heck, possibly even a multiple-time. However, it’s also likely he doesn’t ever reach that milestone or just reaches it once, forever living on that boundary where he is just right there every year of his career.

He will be able to put up numbers, but never be the sole reason a team wins, the perfect number 3 on a championship team, capable of being the number 2 but perfectly suited to be the third guy. To be more specific, the Miami Heat need a guy that can help them scoring and when they become stagnant.

Not only does Kuzma’s size, versatility, and skill set allow him to be able to get buckets inside of the confines of the team concepts and scheme, but he is able to create for himself, for others, and go get his own when he needs to.

All of the aforementioned are exactly why the Miami Heat should be interested if Kuzma does, indeed, want out of the Wizards organization. It is more than worth their pursuit.

Now, what that might cost is the whole question and that’s why you ask this in the first place. But his talent and potential fit with this Heat bunch might just be worth whatever it takes—outside of several guys or so.
