It's safe to say that Tyler Herro's career with the Miami Heat just got the exclamation point ending no one could've seen coming.
Herro and Bam Adebayo reportedly got into an altercation after an exchange at the Las Vegas Summer League. As difficult as it may be to believe, it certainly offers Miami Heat fans a twist ending that no one could've seen coming.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, the altercation between Bam and Herro took place on a practice court with both in Las Vegas.
"The altercation occurred at a practice court in a Las Vegas hotel this morning, sources said -- starting when Adebayo approached Herro about comments the guard made critiquing the center on social media after their seven-year run in Miami ended."
The Miami Heat essentially went on to confirm (via Chris Haynes) the reporting from Shams.
"There was a physical altercation between Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro this morning at a hotel here in Vegas, I was able to speak with the Miami Heat and they are aware of the incident and have no comment"
Tyler Herro's career in Miami ends on a truly sour note
After all this, you'd have to imagine that there was probably some bad blood already brewing between the two former star teammates, and it all boiled over after Herro was part of a trade package that landed Giannis Antetokounmpo in Miami earlier this month.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald would go on to add some much-needed context to this entire situation, stating that some of the tension between Herro and Bam may have stemmed from jealousy.
What we can tell you is there has been some level of resentment from multiple former Heat players that Bam was the chosen one here and was given a big $$ extension by the Heat and was never subjected to trade rumors.

Either way, this is not necessarily the ending that Herro or the Heat wanted. Especially considering all the success that Herro and Bam experienced together during their seven years together in Miami, this has to come as a huge surprise to much of the Heat fan base.
Across the league, you will generally see some pretty bad divorces between players and teams, but an in-house altercation is pretty rare. Considering the ink has barely dried on the trade that sent Herro to Milwaukee, all of this is still pretty fresh.
From a basketball standpoint, though, it will certainly add much to the theater of a Bucks-Heat game this upcoming season. If the Giannis element wasn't already enough, this newfound rivalry between Herro and Bam will certainly take all that to an entirely different level.
